14-15th June 2013 This eagerly awaited airshow attracted a good variety of military and historic aircraft and thousands of spectators, particularly on the Saturday. Arrangements were good though a long detour in and out was needed to reach the car parks. They were close enough to walk in to the base without buses.

This established one-day event always has a maritime theme. This year it was a celebration of the Westland Lynx helicopter being the 40th anniversary of its first flight and still in production as the 'Wildcat'. Numerous versions were on display including overseas naval variants from France and Germany and G-LYNX, holder of the world helicopter speed record.
